This picture of shadows was shot at Dharavi - Asia's largest slum. Our Autorickshaw stopped at the T-Junction signal while we were on the way to Bandra Railway station. The information about the inflammable chemical being carried in the truck was sketched in an interesting and quite a colorful manner. Just as the truck arrived and stopped parallel to our Autorickshaw, I noticed all the graffiti and couldn't resist taking a photograph using my Samsung Corby Pro (B5310) Mobile Phone Camera. It has an option which enables you to sharply capture photographs with TEXT. Although the colors appear to be a little more vibrant than what they were in real, I feel the cyan on the truck and blue color on the sky have got captured very well.
Once we reached Bandra Railway Station we came to know that the train for Borivali, was late by 5 minutes. I noticed the Sun rising right in front of us but it was a little too bright to be captured by a mobile phone camera. Then for some reason I looked behind us and noticed the long shadows and pictured it. I feel, even the mobile phone cameras are a great help if you are photography buff and like to capture everything interesting that you see. I have treated the photograph with some effects using an image editing software.

And you have to bend I guess to click the truck art. Yep, the color And the auto bars added beauty. Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeletebeautiful pictures....thnx....
ReplyDeleteI agree that taking photos whenever we can is a wonderful way to tell a story through pictures! I like that you use your phone to capture things that might ordinarily be missed! Both of your shots are very interesting!
ReplyDeleteVery colourful pictures. That truck uses some vibrant colours !! A friend of mine uses his i-phone to take pictures everywhere he comes, I myself use mostly an older HP-camera as small as a phone.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, when you commented on my picture (about the scene of Jurrasic park) your comment worked as a Gestallt-image. I saw the scene in an instance !
Erwin.

I'm amazed at your creativity. Carrying just a cell phone with a good camera gives you instant options, especially when you can do some modifications en camera.
