Majhya Mamacha Gaon | Review, Photos & More

My wife and I love visiting rural setups and staying amidst nature. Guhagar was on our list since a long time, and one of the weekends we decided to make a trip to this place. My wife googled for the best accommodation available and as per tripadvisor rating and reviews we narrowed down on "Majhya Mamacha Gaon" in Mundhar near Guhagar, Maharashtra. More than a resort, it is known as an agro-tourism farm. The property is located off, Guhagar road, Mundhar, Maharashtra. Spread over 12 acres of land Majhya Mamacha Gaon provides its guests with simple yet very clean and rural environment. You step out of the room and you get too see all the colors and enjoy all the beautiful fragrances of nature. All in all a perfect experience of a village stay. With an idea to eliminate the gap between tourism and eco-friendliness, Majhya Mamacha Gaon, owners, the Salvi family, have implemented the practice of agro-tourism in the Mundhar village at Guhagar.

WHAT YOU WILL FIND HERE
At Majhya Mamacha Gaon, you will notice that various farming and gardening activities are carried out with help from local villagers. If you are a nature lover, then this place is an absolute must visit for you. I would suggest you keep your mobiles, tablets and television away for a few days and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. You can get involved in various activities such as farming, gardening, bird watching and more. What the best part is that the Salvi family gave us such a wonderful treatment we felt like being with our own family. They are such wonderful people.

WHAT YOU WILL LIKE HERE
I can't just point out one thing that we liked about this place. Its just about everything. From our pleasant stay, to a relaxed day, to watching birds and the main part of our stay, the food. Mrs. Sujata Salvi is a magician with cooking. The Konkani dishes that she cooked herself were an absolute delight. I am a vegetarian, however, my wife's feedback about the non-veg food was equally full of appreciation. She loved the food too.

There's this small play area for kids with a slide, see-saw, and two pairs of swings. All of these are also very well maintained. There are two gazebos surrounded by plants and flowers with seats where you can sit, relax and chat with your folks. The rooms, were absolutely clean not a single complaint about it. Once you visit this place, I'm sure you'll make new friends—friends with the Salvi Family for their wonderful hospitality.

BIRD WATCHING
To my surprise, I got to see some really amazing birds in and around Majhya Mamacha Gaon. I got to see Rufous Treepie, Black Rumped Flameback, Magpie Robin, Green Bee-Eater, Fantail, White-Bellied Drongo, Black Drongo, Purple Sunbird, Red-Vented Bulbul, Red-Whiskered Bulbul, Common Tailorbird, Indian Roller, White Throated Kingfisher, White Rumped Munia, Long-Tailed Shrike, Asian Paradise Fly Catcher, Common Babbler and some more of which I don't know the names. It was an amazing experience as most of the birds  you will get to see in the property of Majhya Mamacha Gaon itself. Some were spotted in the vast open area outside the property. It was really very kind of Mr. Samir Salvi to take us to a beautiful location in the Mundhar village which was close to a water stream in search of more birds sighting. It was a fruitful outing as I saw an Asian Paradise Fly Catcher for the very first time. Click here to view photos of all the birds seen in and around Majhya Mamacha Gaon, Mundhar, Maharashtra.
